Cookie Policy

The cookies, local storage, analytics, embedded content, and communication tools detected on this WordPress website, plus the choices available to visitors.

Effective and last updated 1 September 2026

Current position

The website uses necessary WordPress, caching, security, and consent-preference technology. Ahrefs visitor analytics and embedded Google Maps are treated as optional and are controlled by the privacy-choice panel. No Google Analytics, Google Ads tag, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, reCAPTCHA, or YouTube embed was detected during the live audit on 1 September 2026.

What cookies and similar storage do

A cookie is a small value stored by a browser for a website or third party. Local storage serves a similar purpose but is managed through a browser storage area rather than a traditional cookie. These technologies can keep a site working, remember a preference, support security, measure visits, or allow content supplied by another company to load.

Not every external request sets a cookie. Google Search Console, for example, helps a site owner understand search visibility but does not normally require a cookie to be placed on a visitor’s browser by this website. External fonts can receive a network request and IP address without necessarily storing a visitor cookie.

Technology found on this site

Technology or categoryPurposeCurrent control
WordPress and LiteSpeedPage delivery, caching, session or logged-in behaviour, and technical preferences where needed.Necessary. The exact value and duration can vary by session, login state, cache state, and browser.
Consent preferenceRemembers whether analytics and external media are allowed.Stored in the browser as rrt_cookie_choices_v1 until the visitor deletes site data or changes the setting.
Ahrefs Web AnalyticsMeasures visits and page use so the site can understand traffic and improve content.Optional analytics. One tag is loaded only after analytics permission. A duplicate tag found during the audit was removed by the consent control.
Google MapsDisplays the workshop map and directions-related content.Optional external media. The iframe remains blocked until the visitor allows external media.
Contact Form 7Submits the name, email, subject, and message entered into the contact form to this website.Form function. It did not expose a separate advertising cookie during the audit.
Chaty call and WhatsApp linksDisplays quick contact controls. A WhatsApp or telephone service is engaged only when the visitor chooses that channel. The site control is necessary for the requested contact feature. WhatsApp then applies its own technology and privacy terms.

Necessary technology

Necessary technology supports the website’s basic operation, security, caching, content delivery, consent preference, and requested communications. Blocking every necessary value can prevent a page, form, login, or setting from working as expected. Necessary storage is not used here as a reason to run optional advertising or visitor analytics without a choice.

Analytics

Ahrefs Web Analytics is the optional visitor-measurement tool found in the audited page source. When allowed, the site loads one Ahrefs analytics script. The provider may receive technical information such as an IP address, browser or device details, requested page, referrer, and timing information according to its own service operation.

The audit found two Ahrefs tags with different site keys loading before a consent choice. That was an unnecessary duplicate and an inadequate consent position. The production correction removes both pre-existing tags from the delivered page and loads one audited tag only after analytics permission. Rejecting analytics leaves the tag unloaded.

External media and maps

Google Maps is an embedded third-party service. Loading a map creates a connection to Google and can expose the visitor’s IP address, browser details, page context, and any Google-related identifiers available in that browser. The site therefore treats Maps as optional external media. Before permission, the map area shows a message instead of connecting to Google. Allowing external media loads the map.

Tools not detected

The live homepage and Contact page were checked for common visitor-facing scripts. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta or Facebook Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, reCAPTCHA, and YouTube embeds were not detected. Mailchimp for WordPress is installed in WordPress, but the audited pages did not expose a visitor-facing Mailchimp form or script. An installed plugin does not prove that a visitor cookie is active, so these tools are not listed as current cookie categories.

If one of these technologies is activated later, the consent controls and this policy should be updated before it is treated as an existing website practice.

How to choose or change settings

On a first visit, the privacy-choice panel offers three routes.

  1. Accept all allows optional analytics and external media.
  2. Reject non-essential leaves optional analytics and external media blocked.
  3. Manage choices lets you select analytics and external media separately.

After a choice is saved, use the Cookie settings button at the lower edge of the website to reopen the panel. You can also delete site data through browser settings. Deleting it resets the saved choice and causes the panel to appear again.

Browser controls

Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies and site storage for one website or all websites. Browser blocking may affect requested features. The labels and menus differ between Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and mobile browsers, so use the privacy or site-data section for the browser you use.

Cookie duration

We do not publish guessed expiry values. Necessary WordPress, security, and cache values may last for a session or for the period configured by the relevant feature. The consent preference remains in local storage until it is changed or deleted. Optional third-party duration and storage can change under the provider’s current configuration and policy. Where a reliable duration cannot be confirmed from the delivered site, this policy names the category and control instead of presenting an invented number.

Third-party responsibility

When you allow Ahrefs analytics, allow Google Maps, or choose WhatsApp, the relevant provider processes information under its own terms. We select and configure services, but we do not control every independent provider system or browser identifier. Review the provider’s privacy information if you want to understand its processing in more detail.

Updates and contact

This policy is reviewed when tracking, embedding, forms, chat, advertising, analytics, or consent technology changes. The last-updated date will change when the visitor-facing position changes.

Questions about site technology or privacy choices can be sent to admin@rangeroverspecialist.ae or raised through the Contact page. Requests about personal information are explained in the Privacy Policy.
